Our Journey
BB is a Uniformed Group, but that doesn't mean that it is all about drills and discipline. We also have a good balance of serious and fun, helping us build strong and unbreakable bonds along the way. We have ranking promotion, badgework and kind seniors and officers to encourage us to do our best. When I first joined the CCA, I did not have much friends and my self-esteem was very low, making me very nervous. The Boys in my CCA started off very quiet and it was hard to communicate. However, there were obstacles that challenged our paths and together we got through it. Without me realising, we had become close friends with one another and it was much easier to communicate.
The badgework activities helped teach me life skills that I will cherish and is useful for me even if I leave school. When the challenges were too hard or when we gave in, our seniors were there and so were the officers, guiding me to achieve my end goal. I started off as someone who saw the Boys' Brigade as just a means to help me enter into the selection of Polytechnics Education, but now, I have come to enjoy BB and I look forward to every parade put upon us."
