Our History
History of Junyuan Secondary School
Focus on School Values
Junyuan Secondary School was established in January 1999 to serve the Tampines community. Mrs Cecilia Lee, the first principal, charted the directions for the school with a strong focus on School Values. Beginning with just 280 students and 17 staff, the school population grew to more than 1000 within a few years.
Nurturing Champs @ Junyuan
Mrs Janet Oh assumed leadership in December 2004. Under her guidance, the school embarked on a journey to nurture the Champion Mindset of the students and staff so that they are empowered to Lead, to Serve and to Excel.
Quality and Excellence Through Innovation
In December 2010, Mdm Lee Lai Yong built on the strong foundation and sustained the momentum by leading the school on a journey towards Quality and Excellence through Innovation.
Enabling Keys to Open Many Doors
Mr Mohamed Razali Bin Abdul Hamed brought the Junyuan
Champs and Crew to the next lap of the school’s journey from December 2015. His
Strengths-based HR Strategy leveraged and built on individual and team
strengths to achieve School Goals.
