Girls’ Brigade
Girls’ Brigade
The Girls’ Brigade Singapore is a values-driven uniformed group that teaches Girls to lead and serve by example – to put others before self. In the Girls’ Brigade, ‘Servant Leadership’ changes the leader in every Girl as she changes the world.
The Objective of the Girls’ Brigade is to develop each Girl and Officer to her fullest potential by Equipping, Empowering and Enabling every Girl to be a leader, and every Officer a servant leader.
Our Method
|
Uniform & Identity |
Uniform is a great way to instil a sense of identify and belonging. |
|
Structure for Mentoring & Leadership |
We believe in placing Girls in situations that enable them to exercise leadership skills, under the watch guidance of our Teachers and Officers. |
|
Dedicated Volunteers |
We have a team of dedicated Volunteer Adult Leaders (VALs) who are endorsed by MOE. Our VALs are trained to deliver the GB programmes. |
|
Rewarding Achievement |
We adopt a system of rewarding Girls with badges after the completion of each activity. This is intended to motivate our Girls to perform to the best of their abilities in everything they do. |
Motto
"Every Girl a Leader, Every Officer a Servant Leader."

CCA Leaders (2025-2026)
I am grateful to be part of Girls’ Brigade, even though it was not my first choice when I joined. Over the years, GB has become one of the most meaningful parts of my secondary school journey. In GB, I was given the opportunity to participate in the overseas learning journey in sec 2, where I benefited greatly from the exposure and growth. At home, my eldest sister often shares her positive experience in GB, where she also took part in the same overseas learning journey, which I now can relate to. I have had the opportunity to be part of the SG60 NDP contingent, as well as be the parade commander in our school NDP. Through these experiences, as well as various trainings, camps, and activities, GB has helped me grow in discipline, confidence, teamwork, and resilience. If not for GB, I would not have had the chance to experience so many opportunities or grow so much, and I am truly thankful to be part of this GB family.
